Over a 100 roles are available to those attending Charleston Stage Season Auditions. A list of preliminary performance and rehearsal dates can be found below. A list of roles available is available by clicking the link above. Roles cast from members of our resident acting company are not on this list.
Who May Audition
Actors, Singers, Dancers are invited to audition. Auditions are for Adults and High School students only. High School Students must ninth grade or higher for the 2008-2009 school year. There are no auditions for students younger than high school, these roles will be filled from our performance troupes.
For actors new to Charleston Stage or those who have appeared in fewer than two Charleston Stage Shows in the past you are required to attend this audition to be considered for roles next season.
If you are over 18 and have appeared in two or more roles with Charleston Stage in the past you may attend these auditions or you may fill out the form at the very bottom of this page to indicate your interest and we will contact you if we could like you to come in to read for a role at callbacks. High School students, even if they have appeared in two roles in the past are required to audition to be considered for roles next season.

Where:
All auditions will be held at Charleston Stage’s Mt. Pleasant Studios at 629 Johnny Dodd’s Blvd.
What to Prepare:
If auditioning for a non-musical please prepare a one-minute or less memorized monologue. If auditioning for a musical you will be expected to sing and dance. Please prepare 16 bars of a song, preferably a Broadway musical and bring sheet music with you. An accompanist will be provided. You will not be allowed to sing acappella or to perform to a tape or CD. Please dress in a manner that will allow you to move and dance. If you are a tap dancer, please bring tap shows.
