 Based on Mark Twain's own adventures growing up in Hannibal, Missouri, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer follows Tom and his incorrigible friend Huckleberry Finn and their days growing up along the banks of the mighty Mississippi. Tom matches wits with his Sunday-school strict Aunt Polly, falls in love with the beguiling Becky Thatcher, and has to put up with his goody-two-shoes bratty little brother Sid. Along the way Tom and friends whitewash that famous picket fence, explore a dark and sinister riverside cave where they encounter the despicably evil villain, Injun Joe, and have the adventure of a lifetime.
