CHARLESTON STAGE AUDITIONS
Charleston Stage’s annual auditions are for members of the community interested in performing with Charleston Stage. Auditions are open to adults and high school students (rising Grades 9-12). While Charleston Stage has a Resident Acting Company and employs guest actors, community actors make up a large portion of our acting company each season, playing leading, as well as, supporting roles. Newcomers are welcome!
auditions for our 2026-27 season are now closed. Please check back in march 2027 for more information about auditioning for our 2027-28 season.
The charleston stage junior company
For many years, our Troupe Program has been a vital part of our education program. However, as theatre evolves, so must our training to better serve our students and productions. In Season 48 we launched an all-new training program designed to meet the needs of our young performers better and reflect the ever-changing theatre landscape. Now called The Charleston Stage Junior Company, this training program offers students a more focused and enriching experience with enhanced acting, singing, and dance training.

RESIDENT ACTOR PROGRAM
Charleston Stage, South Carolina's largest professional theatre, is casting for our 2026-27 Resident Actor Program, an intensive 11-month program that allows non-equity participants to combine multiple performance opportunities with a well-structured and practical teacher training program. Charleston Stage is in residence at the Historic Dock Street Theatre and presents a Mainstage series of six full productions and a Family Series of two to three productions each season. In addition, our CityStage program and other educational outreach programs provide opportunities for artists to engage with the community through theatre performance and education.
