High school performers sharpen their craft with musical theatre and playwriting classes.
Enrollment is accepted on a rolling basis. All classes are held at the Charleston Stage: West Ashley.
What makes a story a story? In this collaborative storytelling course, published playwright Caedon Venné breaks playwriting down into its most fundamental pieces. By the end of the course, students will have written their own short plays and will leave with a fundamental understanding of how great stories are told.
Designed for high school students who want to develop their skills as musical theatre performers. Students explore acting, singing, and movement through scene work, songs, and choreography, learning to integrate all three elements to create dynamic, confident performances. This class builds stage presence, teamwork, and a strong foundation for future musical theatre opportunities.
