Over the next few months, Charleston Stage's Creativity Fund is shining a spotlight on the talented artists who take center stage, bringing unforgettable stories to life for you and your loved ones—our Resident Actors.
The Resident Actor Program was founded by Charleston Stage founder Julian Wiles in 1998 to train emerging theatre professionals while serving the Lowcountry community through the power of live theatre.
More than 25 years later, Charleston Stage continues Julian's legacy by selecting a group of young actors each season to perform in our MainStage and Family Series productions, lead educational workshops, perform in School Matinees, and participate in outreach programs that inspire the next generation of theatre lovers.
Our Resident Actors, designers, technicians, artists, and staff work together to create world-class theatre rooted in our community. As a producing theatre company, every production is designed, built, rehearsed, marketed, and performed right here in our own backyard of Charleston.
