Out of the Box workshops are designed to ignite the imagination and engage students. In these workshops, students explore literature through creative drama, improvisation, movement, and music. By weaving together ELA and Theatre, students gain a deeper understanding of the text, learn how to analyze the theme, and develop critical thinking skills. Students discover how to effectively communicate ideas, emotions, and narratives while building confidence in their voices.
These workshops foster collaboration, encouraging students to work together in a creative and supportive environment, enhancing their comprehension and retention of literary concepts. They’re also easy for teachers to use!
Charleston Stage is an Arts Grow SC collective network partner. The Out of the Box project is funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
