This May, Charleston Stage, the resident theatre company at the Historic Dock Street Theatre, will present a free fully staged, professional production of Last Stop on Market Street. This is a free hour-long captivating and uplifting musical adaptation of Matt de la Peña’s acclaimed children’s book, produced as a part of Charleston Stage’s free CityStage Community Tour. Last Stop on Market Street features professional performers from Charleston Stage’s Resident Acting Company. With an inspiring mix of lively music and thoughtful lessons about empathy, community, and the power of seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary, this musical celebrates the richness of urban life and the boundless possibilities that await when we embrace the wonders of diversity.
Select performances at 6pm and all Charleston County Main Library and Waccamaw Neck Library performances are open to the general public. Patrons do not have to reserve tickets. Just bring your loved ones to enjoy a live performance of Last Stop on Market Street! For a list of performance dates and times for each location, please see below.
