2024-25 TheatreSchool Policies

 

schedule and payments

  • The TheatreSchool year will consist of (22) twenty-two weekly classes from September 10th, 2024–March 22nd, 2024. There will be no classes from November 25th-January 6th.
  • Classes run in two semesters, ten weeks in the fall and twelve weeks in the spring.
  • You will automatically be enrolled in the spring semester unless we are otherwise notified.
  • 30 days’ notice is required to drop a TheatreSchool class. If tuition has already been charged for the month, there will be no prorated refunds for classes not attended.
  • Scheduled closures, school vacations, and holidays have been accounted for and you are not paying for weeks TheatreSchool is closed. Please reference the calendar for TheatreSchool closures.
  • Tuition is charged monthly on auto-pay. Monthly payments of $95 are charged on the 1st of every month, September - March (excluding December).
  • NO tuition will be charged in December, due to the holiday closing. 
  • Scholarships are available. Please reach out for more information. 
  • We offer a 10% sibling discount.
  • No refunds

 

absences and makeup classes

  • Two make-up classes are allowed per semester. Make-ups may be taken in alternate sections of age and level appropriate classes. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to schedule a makeup class.
  • We do not offer additional make-ups for holidays, weather closures, or other instances when TheatreSchool might be closed.
  • Should you miss a scheduled make-up class, it may not be rescheduled.

 

arrival and dismissal

  • Parents/Drivers should plan to drop off and pick up children on time.
  • Parents/Drivers of children under age 7 MUST wait until the teacher or teacher’s assistant takes the child into the classroom.
  • Parents/Drivers can pull up in the front of the building to drop off students for class, but they must park and walk to the front for dismissal. We WILL NOT utilize a carline for dismissal any longer.
  • Doors open at the start of class (4pm, 5:10pm, 10am, and 11:10am). 

 

playfest

  • Students have the option to participate with their class(es) in Playfest on Saturday, March 29th. Participation is optional and does incur an extra cost of $35, but you must notify us either way of your participation when asked in February.
  • Each class will have a mandatory dress rehearsal between March 25th-March 27th. This will not be at regular class time. Schedule TBD. 
  • Playfest will be a ticketed event.

  • November 16th - 22nd, 2024: Parent observation week
  • November 24th, 2024 - January 6th, 2025: Holiday Break (No Classes)
  • January 7th - 11th, 2025: First week of Spring semester/TheatreSchool
  • March 18th - 22nd, 2025: Last Week of REGULAR Classes
  • March 25th - 27th, 2025: Playfest Dress Rehearsals (This will NOT be at regular class time. Schedule TBD.)
  • March 29th, 2025: Playfest at the West Ashley Theatre Center (Show times TBD.)
